TRES VECES CHAI, TEA, HERB AND SPICE
Climb with us to the far regions of the Himalayan Mountains as we hand select tea leaves from the foothills of Nepal's most treasured tea and herb gardens.
Green teas grown in High altitude are regarded as the best green teas in the world. Young tea bushes yield better quality than those of older bushes. Our Nepali tea bushes are young and are grown in high altitude.
Nepal is ranked 25th in the world in terms of bio-diversity. The elevation ranges from 600 meters (the highest altitude on earth) to 8,848 meters. The climate is favorable and soil conditions are great for growing tea.
Tres Veces’ teas are 100 percent organic, certified by NASAA, Australia, which is accredited to IFOAM and AQIS. Our tea farms utilize 1000 year old traditions and ayurvedic principles of farming producing from pure agricultural soil, as well as biologically and ecologically balanced methods.
Nepal Bhasa origin
The word "Nepal" is believed by scholars to be derived from the word "Nepa:" which refers to the Newar Kingdom, the present day Kathmandu Valley. With Sanskritization, the Newar word Nepa became Nepal.
The Newars of present day Nepal, refer to all the inhabitants of Kathmandu valley and its peripheries (called "Nepa:") before the advent of Shah dynasty. The Nepal Sambat calendar, named after this Newar kingdom and devised 1100 years ago, is a national calendar used in Nepal and testifies to its antiquity. |
